About this episode

Wendy York, dean of the business college at Clemson University, believes COVID shifted the balance of power to the people we serve because it showed everyone their safety could not be guaranteed. In business school she was taught that empathy would make her weak; she now calls it a leader's great strength. Clemson is building a leadership certificate that starts in sophomore year. She asks students to name their values, and hers are be authentic, be brave, be inclusive.
