The Individual Revolution

Nik Modi, a managing director at RBC Capital Markets who covers consumer companies, closed our 2021 summit by describing the individual revolution. Many well-run companies, he said, are frogs in boiling water. He pointed to a tooth sensor from Tufts, a Tokyo restaurant that 3D-prints meals for your gut biome, and Robinhood investors moving stock prices as evidence that power is passing to individuals. His advice was to bring frontline workers, who know customers best, into decision making.
