We really want to take good care of you, but we don't want to be so overburdened that we're damaging our own health.

Julie Ann Woodward, MD

About this episode

Julie Ann Woodward gave us the physician's side of patient experience: seeing 30 patients where she once saw 20, waiting on basic supplies, and colleagues who skip bathroom breaks so often they damage their health. Happy staff and the right tools, she said, make happy patients. Greg Brannon then argued that no two patients fit the same box, and that the whole story only comes out when a doctor and patient look each other in the eye.
