From the recordings

What the room surfaced

We came to talk about the “great resignation” and ended up talking about how little organizations know the people they serve. A community college president described an evening program that began at 5:20, twenty minutes after the last bus left campus. A chief HR officer recalled a boss telling him to have his wife pick up his son; he was a single father. Two cancer patients said they had been treated as a standard diagnosis. Most organizations weren't suppressing individuality on purpose. They simply hadn't made it safe for people to say who they are.

Conviction Wisdom

People don't hide who they are. They hide from rooms that never earned the truth.
