Conviction in the Boardroom

A Conviction Chronicles section by Glenn Llopis

About the Section

Boards decide which strategy a company bets on, who leads it and what its culture will tolerate. These essays look at what it takes to make those calls with conviction, and at what boards miss when they stop seeing the individuals in the room. They are written for directors, trustees and the leaders who answer to them, and they draw on all three practices of my work.

Why this section exists

I serve on boards and advise the executives who answer to them. The hardest decisions an organization makes reach the boardroom, and they are made best by people who know who they are and say what they see. These essays are for them.
